Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate daily with the external sustainability team and external representatives to obtain data to support companies’ goal of achieving carbon neutral status and ISO14064 accreditation
  • Familiarise department leads with Net Zero Strategy initiatives prior to planning
  • Liaise closely with key internal departments including Transport and Facilities and work together to gather data before tailoring sustainability strategy to suit their needs
  • Present data findings calculated using DEFRA to key decision makers and provide advice on how to operate more sustainably
  • Analyse figures across gas, electricity and carbon bills and create formalised strategy projects on how the company can collectively look to reduce their overall utility costs
  • Produce detailed SECR reports as well as principal reports based on GHG protocols
  • Carry out secondary research into alternative sustainable energy strategies and carbon types, and then present findings to business officials so they can make more informed decisions on the companies’ future carbon neutral/net zero plans

Skills & Experience 

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Energy, Sustainability or similar subject
  • Well versed with Net Zero Strategy
  • Data driven with the ability to analyse large databases
  • Passionate about the environment and driving sustainability
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Confident presentation and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of ISO14064 accreditation desirable
  • Proficient IT skills, including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
