Due to continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to deliver Level 1, L2 and L3 English, Maths and IT training to students.

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering Functional Skills learning and will be able to demonstrate that they have efficiently managed assessments and will be qualified with a relevant degree, alongside teaching within a relevant vocation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver L1, 2 and 3 courses to students for Functional Skills Maths, English and IT
• Manage the process for assessments, contacting the relevant awarding bodies when required
• Update training material for students, ensuring varied learning styles are considered
• Plan learning activities and update confidential records
• Set up classroom’s tasks prior to delivering lessons

Skills & Experience

• Demonstratable ability of previously working in a similar environment
• Previous experience teaching Maths and English at Functional Skills or GCSE level
• Must hold relevant Teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS Check essential, or willingness to process prior to interview
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and data protection
