Express Recruitment are working with a Commercial Solutions Provider and Manufacturer who are looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team of professionals on a full-time, permanent basis. 

The role will involve carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on site machinery, order parts, update PPM forms, conduct root cause analysis, and report issues to the site Plant, Production, and Maintenance Managers on site. 

Their ideal candidate will need mechanical systems and basic electrical knowledge, considerable experience within a manufacturing environment, a full UK driving licence, and confidence working independently to carry out works with minimal supervision. 

In return, they are offering a competitive salary of up to c£33,000 per annum D.O.E and a generous benefits packaging including opportunity for overtime with 1.5x payrate, 33 days holiday per year including bank holidays, flexible working hours (7am – 3pm or 8am – 4pm), and more! 

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Maintain and repair filling and packing machines, water systems, and conveyors 
• Order parts required to carry out maintenance works 
• Update PPM forms once the maintenance works have been completed 
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures 
• Ensure the workshop is clean and tidy at all times  
• Report directly, including notifying faults, to the Plant, Production, and Maintenance Managers on site 

Skills and Experience

• Experience carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors and labellers
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic electrical works 
• Confident with working individually to carry out works with minimal supervision 
• Considerable experience working within a manufacturing environment 
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car
