Express Recruitment are excited to be supporting one of the UK’s newly emerging technology firms. Due to a recent synergy of the company’s specialist divisions, they are now seeking a well-organised and highly attentive Metering Service Engineer to join their dedicated Field Services Team in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying, analysing and full implementation of metering projects for their utility clients. Due to the demanding nature of the role, you will be required to travel frequently throughout the London, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire areas.

In return, you can expect to receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£30,000, including regular overtime opportunities, generous holidays entitlement with the option to buy/sell up to 3 days, private medical insurance and not to mention genuine progressive opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend various client sites to carry out metering condition surveys in order to fully understand clients metering infrastructure
  • Develop meter schedules and line diagrams to display site metering systems and electrical distribution networks for buildings
  • Identify additional areas where metering systems are in place but not necessarily required
  • Identify key energy consumers and determine if they require additional metering
  • Liaise with the Field Service Engineering Team and assist with the implementation and execution of metering projects
  • Analyse metering data in order to identify any ongoing trends or shifts in behaviour e.g. wastage, anomalies
  • Ensure metering data is captured accurately and safely documented via company integrated management system
  • Complete progress reports in order to update management on current project status, whilst highlighting any key issues

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree/HNC required
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of electrical and utility infrastructure
  • Passionate about maintaining quality standards, taking pride in all work carried out
  • Critical thinker who is able to perform under pressure and solve problems effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills on all senior levels
  • Good eye for detail
  • Full UK Driving License and willing to travel frequently
