Due to continued financial growth and increasing global client base, our client requires a technically astute Oracle Database Administrator who will help to maintain business critical infrastructure, whilst performing problem resolution and root cause analysis.

You will be contracted to a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm (flexible working available). Due to the ongoing end user demand, you will be required to be on call once per week between the hours of 5:30pm-9:00am. In return for your availability, you will receive an annual £6,000 bonus.

On offer is an industry leading remuneration package, starting with a c£48,000 salary plus a c£6,000 annual bonus. Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle DBA duties, including performance tuning, restores and backups
• Write procedures, functions and scripts using SQL/PowerShell to automate maintenance tasks
• Perform data migration tasks based on business-critical Oracle databases
• Carry out Oracle RMAN backup processes and restarting failed backups
• Help with the writing of automation scripts for all management tasks using Linux
• Carry out patching of the system based on latest installed database versions

Skills & Experience

• Advanced user experience and knowledge of Oracle databases, including latest versions (19c to 21c)
• SQL/MS SQL/T-SQL server/clustering experience
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Confident user of Linux and Windows based servers/operating systems
• Confident in performing RMAN backups
• ITIL Foundation Trained desirable
• Incident management experience
• Excellent communication skills on all senior levels
• Flexible with out of hours working when required
