This is a full time, permanent position that is based at their Nottingham site, although will entail occasional site work too perform PLC software configurations and commissioning projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Configure and commission Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC platforms using Step 7, TIA Portal & Logix500 packages 
• Interact with WCS/WMS systems and network systems such as Profinet and Ethernet IP 
• Develop concise PLC code from starch and incorporate company standard functions 
• Work occasionally on various customer sites to aid the delivery for final stage commissioning projects 
• Liaise closely with Electrical CAD Engineers throughout the design phase and assess electrical EPLAN designs 
• Read and interpret schematic drawings and electrical safety circuits  
• Report directly to Senior Automation Engineer  

Skills & Experience

• Proven ability to develop and commission PLC code from scratch (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley) 
• Previous experience within the automated warehousing and logistics sector desirable 
• Knowledge and experience working with automation and material handling equipment  
• Knowledge and experience with conveyor systems advantageous  
• Capable AutoCAD design skills desirable  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics without supervision  
• Full UK Driving License
