Due to recent company acquisitions because of rapid growth and financial success across the business, our client is keen to expand their team with the addition of a tech savvy, articulate and initiative-taking Product Owner.  

The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to engage with existing and prospective clients across the company’s networks, to understand their business model and recommend and help develop tailored software solutions.  

Please note, due to the nature of the clientele our client caters for, the successful candidate must be eligible for security clearance. Candidates that do that meet the criteria for successful security vetting need not apply. 

In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £45k, plus a generous holiday allowance of 38 days (including bank holidays), private medical care, flexible working and opportunities for hybrid working. Please note, you will be expected to attend their Nottingham offices 2 days per week as a minimum.  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage daily with current clients to maintain up to date knowledge of their business and recommend upgrades to their current subscribed services
• Reach out to prospective clients and set up introductory meetings to learn more about their business requirements  
• Work collaboratively in an Agile environment with internal Software Development teams and Product Managers  
• Lead frequent workshops to train internal and external stakeholders on current software platforms and to brief them of any upgraded services  
• Identify opportunities to upskill the internal Product Consultant team through various training regimes  
• Consult with the Development team to identify any potential areas of improvement relating to the software  
• Utilise lean techniques such as VSM (Value Stream Mapping) 
• Perform technical presentations to prospective clients, ensuring open-source software has been strategically modified to reflect targeted company’s personal content  
• Support the sales team with strategic planning and development of new sales strategies for the prospective global client market  
• Ensure timely and successful product delivery including i to maintain full customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business  
• Ensure legislative and data protection requirements are strictly adhered to  

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience working as a Product Owner for a SaaS organisation 
• First class interpersonal and communication skills on all senior levels 
• Experienced in value stream mapping and user journeys  
• Ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner  
• Proven experience working in an Agile environment (DevOps) 
• Professional level of competency working with Azure cloud platforms  
• Experience problem solving and overcoming objections  
• Full UK Driving License
