Express Recruitment are proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, who are innovators in their industry. Due to continued success, our client are seeking an accomplished Shift Production Supervisor to join their talented team at their state of the art facility in Nottingham.

Due to the demanding nature of the role and the companies dedication to continuously supplying their broad client base, you will be required to work a three shift pattern; 6:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 10:00pm & 10:00pm – 6:00am.

In return you will receive a salary of up to c£30,000 (including shift premium), company bonus, regular overtime, pension, training sponsorships and genuine opportunities to progress throughout the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day running of the Site Production Team, supervising the manufacturing and maintenance processes
  • Assist with Lean Manufacturing projects (Six Sigma, 5s) to ensure quality and compliance targets are met
  • Uphold impeccable Health & Safety standards and report any accidents or near misses to the Health & Safety Manager
  • Schedule PPM breakdown and routine checks with the Maintenance Department as per the rota
  • Oversee quality testing procedures prior to signing off any approvals
  • Monitor inventory and maintain parts and material stock within agreed parameters
  • Assist with ongoing training within the production team to ensure regulatory and compliance standards are upheld
  • Manage the staff shift rota, scheduling breaks and increasing staffing levels when required
  • Conduct inductions and introductory training for all new starters
  • Complete detailed handover for Production Manager for following shift

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • City & Guilds in Production Engineering or similar
  • Demonstrable team leader/supervisory experience
  • Proven experience within industrial manufacturing sector
  • IOSH trained, or demonstrable Health & Safety experience
  • Good understanding of quality management systems and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
