Express Recruitment are currently working with a respected public sector organisation who are actively recruiting for an Accommodation Officer to support their busy Temporary Housing Division. This role would be ideal for someone who enjoys working with people on a daily basis and holds a desire to make a real difference to the lives of local residents.

Duties to include:

• Work with residents in temporary accommodation to facilitate moving to permanent housing
• Manage a caseload of households and work with them to agree suitable options
• Assess individual circumstances in order to make key decisions
• Assist residents to build support and recovery networks
• Represent the organisation at conferences and partnership meetings
• Monitor and report on interventions and outcomes

Skills and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of providing housing support
• Personable approach to all individuals
• Experience of working with vulnerable people
• Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets
• Must be able to deal with enquiries and complaints in a sympathetic manner

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Loughborough
Salary: c£12.00 – c£14.00 per hour, DOE
