Temp Functional Skills Tutor – TBAC

Express Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a highly regarded independent Education Provider based in Nottingham. Our client offers a safe place for learners to study and develop, in a positive forward-thinking environment that has been designed to boost wellbeing. Their approach to teaching focuses on helping their learners to take pride in themselves and their individuality and offer rounded methods to helping them progress educationally and personally in their lives. Our client is looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to teach students at their organisation.

The successful candidate needs to be flexible with hours, starting at 2-3 days per week and the possibility for a permanent position in the future. A background in delivering Customer Service, Business Administration and Employability is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Run tutoring sessions with students on a 1-1 basis
• Tutor Functional Skills to 11–18-year-olds
• Plan and attend tutoring sessions and activities with children and teens aged 11-18
• Think outside the box to encourage learning outside the office and within the community
• Update records with learners’ information accordingly
• To support the organisation with its day to day needs as required

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills is essential
• Previous experience in Customer Service, Business Administration and Employability
• Enhanced DBS Check essential or willingness to process following interview
• Previous experience with SEN or SEND learners desirable
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and data protection
