Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing an industry-leading Electrical Solutions Provider who are looking for an Industrial Electrician to join their team on a contract untill Christmas with the opportunity to work on a permanent basis afterwards.

The role will require working at a Nottingham-based site for one month initially, directly followed by working at a Cardiff-based site until Christmas, with opportunity to work permanently afterwards dependent on performance and company workload requirements. Please note: A full, clean UK driving licence will be required to apply for this role.

The successful candidate will be offered a standard hourly rate of c£23 per hour D.O.E to work 39 hours a week with the opportunity to work up to 9 hours overtime a week (48 hours total) at the following rates:

• Standard hourly rate for all overtime hours during the week
• 5x standard hourly rate for all overtime hours during the weekend

Additionally, they are offering food, living, and travel allowance whilst travelling to/from and working at their Cardiff site.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Decommission electrical systems on client sites
• Install and configure control systems including PLC and SCADA
• Commission and troubleshoot control panels
• Install electrical systems including control panels and three phase systems
• Inspect and validate automated equipment
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams

Skills and Experience

• AM2 or 18^th Edition qualified
• HNC or Apprenticeship trained in electrician practices
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and complex diagrams without supervision
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence
• Must be flexible to work overtime and to work away from home for a week at a time when required (Monday to Friday)
