Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-known organisation who provide care services across Leicestershire, and they are seeking a Temporary Kitchen Assistant to join their team starting immediately. The role will allow you to get involved in food preparation, serving and general kitchen support.

Our client is offering an ongoing Temporary contract, and for those who prove themselves there will be potential permanent opportunities. Shift patterns are 9:00am-2:00pm, working 4 days between Monday-Sunday (shifts are confirmed 4 weeks in advance).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of food items such as sandwiches and salads
• Train on and use several different kitchen appliances
• Clean both back-of-house and front-of-house areas, and maintain an outstanding food hygiene rating
• Accept and pack away both consumable and non-consumable deliveries
• Support the team with offering the highest standards of customer service

Skills & Experience

• Available to start as soon as possible, happy to work required shifts
• Prior experience in a kitchen environment with experience using grills or fryers beneficial but not essential
• Strong drive to professionally develop and take on new responsibilities

Vacancy Summary

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 5 hours per day, 4 days per week (rotating shift patterns)
