Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing an Engineering Solutions Specialist who are looking to hire an Electrician on a full time, permanent basis to work on their client’s water utilities and treatment sites. The successful candidate will inspect and carry out repairs on electrical systems, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, respond to and attend emergency callouts, and maintain clear communications with colleagues, contractors, and clients.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in an Electrician role, ideally have experience working for a water utility company, be comfortable working away from home when required, and be 18th Edition qualified.

Candidates based between Tamworth and Gloucester considered as this is a field based, multi-site role.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Inspect and carry out repairs electrical systems, equipment, and components
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and identify root cause of issues
• Ensure repaired equipment are functioning correctly and safely
• Respond to and attend emergency callouts
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and contractors
• Follow scheduled maintenance plans
• Comply with company Health and Safety policies and procedures

Skills and Experience 

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Experience working for a utilities company, with water companies being highly desirable
• Comfortable working away as and when required
• Experience working on/with three-phase systems
• 18th Edition qualification is essential
• 2391 Test and Inspection qualification is essential
• Comfortable working in confined spaces
