CNC Miller Programmer

Overview

Express Recruitment are working alongside a leading industrial fabricator, who due to steady growth and continuous increased repeat business with long standing customers, are now seeking an experienced and proven CNC Miller/Programmer to join their talented team.

This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday either a morning or afternoon shift. The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate of up to c£19 per hour with regular overtime opportunities to further increase earnings. The company also offers a competitive benefits package, including a company pension, sick pay, and ongoing training and development to support your professional growth

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience programming CNC milling machines, ideally using CAD/CAM software and machine controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and machining instructions
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, work holding and manufacturing techniques
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving machining or production issues
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls.
  • Develop and prove out new programmes, producing first-off components that meet engineering drawing specifications.
  • Review and refine existing programmes to improve cycle times, machining efficiency and overall productivity.
  • Maintain accurate programme records, revisions and backups in line with company procedures
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines for one-off, prototype and batch production
