Job Description

Our client is an established company who are market leaders within their industry, with impressive, modern offices based close Matlock. They are looking to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their busy head office.

Duties Include:

  • Liaising with customers via email and telephone ensuring excellent service is consistently delivered
  • Building relationships with both hauliers and existing customer base
  • Effectively scheduling the transportation of goods  
  • Contribute toward ongoing cost control, actively seeking to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
  • Resolving a variety of enquiries promptly and to a high standard
  • Processing orders using bespoke computerised system whilst maintaining accuracy at all times
  • Utilising various tools to create correspondence and documentation including Microsoft Word and Excel

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar transport/ sales administration role
  • Experience within the logistics sector advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programs 
  • Confident liaison skills
