Business Development Executive – Engineering

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a leading organisation within the industrial and engineering sector, who are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Executive to join their growing division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to take responsibility for developing new business, growing existing accounts and building long-term relationships with customers across the region.

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in technical sales, engineering, heavy industry or a similar environment, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.

There is a starting salary on offer of £45k, an additional £20k in commission plus £10k bonus, 25 days holiday plus stats, a healthcare cashback plan, access to an electric vehicle scheme plus more!

Skills & Experience
  • Technical sales experience within engineering, heavy industry or a similar sector
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and commercial decision-making abilities.
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to travel and a full, clean driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling and networking and market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations, working closely with engineering teams to understand customer requirements
  • Manage the sales pipeline, monitor performance against targets and provide accurate forecasts and reports
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, trade shows and industry events to develop opportunities and expand the customer network
