Customer Account Manager – Engineering

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a leading organisation within the industrial and engineering sector, who are looking to recruit an experienced Customer Account Manager to join their growing division.

The successful candidate will manage, develop and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities to increase account spend, alongside taking a proactive approach to sourcing new business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a background in technical sales, engineering, heavy industry or a similar environment, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business through building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

There is a starting salary on offer of £45k, an OTE of £85k, 25 days holiday plus stats, a healthcare cashback plan, access to an electric vehicle scheme plus more!

Skills & Experience
  • Technical sales experience within engineering, heavy industry or a similar sector
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and commercial decision-making abilities
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to travel and a full, clean driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations, working closely with engineering teams to understand customer requirements
  • Manage the sales pipeline, monitor performance against targets and provide accurate forecasts and reports
  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling and networking and market research
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, trade shows and industry events to develop opportunities and expand the customer network
