Engineering Inventory Manager – Nottingham

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a successful and growing MRO distributor who are looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Inventory Manager to join their busy Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inventory or engineering stores professional to work full time at a customer site in Nottingham, ensuring engineers always have access to the critical components and consumables they need. The successful candidate will manage engineering inventory, control stock levels, coordinate component requests and liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

An excellent remuneration package is on offer including a salary of up to £42,000 per annum, plus company car or van, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, one mental health day per year and a range of bonus schemes including monthly Amazon vouchers. Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience within a similar inventory, engineering stores or stock management role within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering parts, components, tools and consumables
  • Experience using inventory control systems and ERP software, with excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of UK health and safety standards, including COSHH and manual handling requirements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and hands-on approach to managing workload
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day engineering inventory at the customer site, maintaining accurate stock levels and records
  • Act as the key point of contact for engineering teams, responding to requests for components and consumables and ensuring critical spares are always available
  • Work with procurement teams and approved suppliers to source and replenish stock, including hard-to-find or obsolete components
  • Organise inventory and manage goods-in/goods-out processes, ensuring items are correctly inspected, labelled and securely stored
  • Identify opportunities to improve stock management, support customer requirements and deliver a high standard of service
