Product Assembly and Quality Technician

Overview

We are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly specialised engineering and manufacturing organisation, who are seeking an experienced Product Assembly and Quality Technician to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will work within a small, collaborative team and will be responsible for assembling, testing and calibrating specialist products to high-quality standards, ensuring all equipment is built right-first-time and fully documented before despatch.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £32,000, alongside the opportunity to develop within a specialist engineering environment.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience within a technical assembly, manufacturing, engineering or test environment
  • Hold NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Basic mechanical skills, such as torque tightening, thread tapping and pneumatic fitting assembly
  • Good IT skills
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assembling, wiring, testing and calibrating products in line with engineering drawings, work instructions and quality standards
  • Carrying out factory acceptance testing, basic fault finding and repairs where required
  • Checking components against Bills of Materials prior to assembly and reporting any discrepancies or shortages
  • Maintaining accurate serial number, build, calibration and release documentation
  • Preparing manuals, certificates and supporting documentation for completed products
  • Supporting stock control activities, including stock checks and reporting discrepancies
