Express Recruitment - Recruitment Agency Nottingham Derby Leicester

Retail Customer Complaints Specialist

Overview

Are you a confident, resilient customer service professional looking for a varied role where you can combine face-to-face interaction with administration, problem-solving and aftersales support? Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful, long-established family business in Nottinghamshire in their search for a Customer Service & Aftersales Advisor to join their busy team. This is far from a typical desk-based customer service position. You’ll divide your time between welcoming customers, coordinating appointments and handovers, resolving queries and complaints, and completing the administration behind warranty claims and aftersales work. The team rotates between front-of-house customer service and back-office administration, creating plenty of variety throughout the week.

Personality and attitude are especially important. The successful candidate will be positive, bubbly and confident when dealing with customers face-to-face, while also having the resilience to handle challenging conversations calmly. Customers have often made a significant purchase, so you’ll need to listen, show empathy and find solutions without allowing a difficult interaction to affect the rest of your day. Previous warranty claims or industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided. The company is open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, provided they have strong face-to-face customer service experience and genuinely want to build a career within this type of role.

In return, you’ll receive a starting salary of up to £30,000 for the right candidate, alongside a two-tier performance bonus offering the potential to earn an additional £3,000 annually when full monthly targets are achieved. Additional benefits include an Employee Assistance Programme, staff discount, employee referral bonus, employee recognition scheme, a unique employee loan scheme and additional holiday and rewards for long service.
