Revit Technician

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a well-established, award-winning engineering practice with a strong presence across the Midlands, who are seeking a Revit Technician to join their high-performing team based in Leicester.

The successful candidate will be a diligent and highly motivated technician with proven experience producing detailed drawings across a wide variety of structural engineering projects. You will value sustainable engineering, thrive on complex challenges, and enjoy providing day-to-day guidance to junior CAD Technicians within a collaborative, supportive environment.

The role offers a salary of up to £45k, AXA private healthcare (including dental and optical cash back), stakeholder pension, professional subscriptions and exam fees, and the Cycle2Work scheme. You will also benefit from an annual profit share scheme (~2.5%), funded external training, workshops and CPDs, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (including Christmas closure), free on-site parking, flexible working, and regular team social and family events.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a similar role with proficiency in both Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality concept, preliminary, and detailed technical drawings
  • Working toward or holding a relevant HNC/HND or professional qualification (e.g., EngTech, TIStructE)
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport desirable, but not essential
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Producing complex detailed construction drawings independently across civil, structural, and conservation projects from engineers' sketches and calculations
  • Developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models in Autodesk Revit across a range of project types
  • Checking and reviewing CAD Technician output for accuracy and compliance with drawing standards, providing guidance and day-to-day supervision
  • Maintaining and developing drawing templates and standard detail libraries in coordination with senior leadership
  • Managing drawing registers and document control on allocated projects while coordinating closely with Engineers on design intent and detail resolution
