Scheduling Administrator Driving Licence Essential – Immediate Start

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation within the transport and logistics sector for a Scheduling Administrator to join their team in Erith.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong administrator with good organisational and scheduling skills looking to build a long-term career within a busy operational environment.

You do not need previous experience within fleet, transport or vehicle maintenance for this role. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong administration background and are confident managing schedules, coordinating tasks, maintaining accurate records and communicating with different teams.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day activities, ensuring schedules are kept up to date and supporting the smooth running of the operation.

Due to the immediate requirement, applicants must have previous administration experience and be available to start as soon as possible. Temporary applicants will also be considered while a permanent appointment is recruited.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous administration experience is essential.
  • Previous scheduling, planning or coordination experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with different people.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to react to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience within transport, logistics, fleet, workshop or vehicle maintenance is desirable but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional vehicle movements may be required.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain schedules to ensure work is planned and completed efficiently.
  • Manage bookings and liaise with internal teams, customers, drivers and external suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
  • Create and update job cards, schedules and administrative records.
  • Process invoices, raise purchase orders and assist with general administration.
  • Coordinate repair and service bookings and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Monitor outstanding tasks and follow up where required to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, to maintain records and produce reports.
  • Support the wider team with general administrative duties and day-to-day coordination.
  • Ensure all administration is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.
