Senior Project Manager – Engineering

Overview

We are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing engineering services provider who are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team based near Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering, MEICA or infrastructure professional with more than 10 years’ experience delivering complex projects and managing multiple concurrent programmes. The role will have direct responsibility for Project Managers and delivery teams, with accountability for project profitability, programme performance, client satisfaction and the successful delivery of multiple projects and framework contracts.

Benefits include a salary of up to c£65,000, hybrid working, car or allowance, pension, ongoing training and development, and the opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a growing engineering services business.

Skills & Experience
  • More than 10 years’ experience delivering engineering, MEICA or infrastructure projects, with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience managing budgets, forecasts, project financial performance and margins
  • Demonstrable leadership and people management experience, with the ability to lead, develop and mentor Project Managers and delivery teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, alongside strong planning and programme management capability
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office and project management software, with experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners and a full UK driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Leading the delivery of multiple concurrent projects and framework contracts from contract award through to completion and final account settlement
  • Managing and developing Project Managers and project delivery teams, including resource planning, workload management and performance
  • Maintaining accountability for project profitability, cash flow, margins, budgets, forecasts, programme performance and operational KPIs
  • Overseeing subcontractors, suppliers and specialist partners, ensuring contractual obligations and project requirements are fully understood and delivered
  • Contributing to business planning, resource forecasting and continuous improvement across the project delivery function
