Software Automation Test Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Test Engineer / QA professional to take ownership of software quality across the delivery of complex warehouse automation projects. You’ll be testing software that directly controls live warehouse equipment, making this a particularly hands-on role where identifying issues before deployment is critical. This is a rapidly growing industry and offers the opportunity to join a growing business allowing for future career development beyond this position.

Working alongside Software Developers, Business Analysts and Commissioning Engineers, you’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from interpreting requirements and developing test scenarios through to pre-deployment validation, commissioning and go-live. A major focus will also be developing the company's automated testing capability and increasing test coverage across future releases.

Due to the project-based nature of the position, there will be occasional requirements to support customer implementations and go-lives, including some out-of-hours work when required and candidates must be based within a commutable distance (3 days per week minimum) of the Nottingham office.
