Temporary Employee Relations Advisor – Immediate Starting Contract

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be representing a great employer based on the outskirts of Leicester. Due to an absence in the team, our client is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to manage a medium-sized caseload, initially on a Temporary basis for approx. 4-8 weeks.

This role is perfect for any candidate with ER experience who is seeking an immediate opportunity. Although the office is based in Leicester, with parking available, the role allows for flexible working for approx. 2 days per week from home.

Candidates should have a demonstrable track record of providing ER advice and guidance to line managers, employees and the general wider business, therefore candidates with either strong HR Advisory experience or a relevant CIPD qualification will be considered.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience as Employee Relations Advisor essential, logistics and distribution backgrounds preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and industry-standard HR practices
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective collaboration
  • Skilled in managing sensitive and confidential matters with the utmost discretion
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage complex employee relations issues with a professional and considerate approach
  • Offer specialist support and advice to line managers and external departments on all matters related to employee relations
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and stakeholders to address disputes and promote positive workplace relationships
  • Carry out thorough investigations when required, ensuring all necessary details are collected and carefully reviewed
  • Create and execute practical solutions to minimise risks associated with in employee relations, always promoting best practice
