Temporary Finance Analyst – up to 6 Month Contract

Overview

Express Recruitment are thrilled to be working in partnership with a well-established company based locally in Nottingham! Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their Finance team, initially on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional to support the Finance Manager and Finance Director through a particularly successful period.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial and commercial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting activity, and providing clear financial planning and analysis to inform business decisions.

This is primarily an office-based role, with some flexibility available depending on circumstances.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstratable ability of undertaking financial analysis and planning (FP&A)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with financial data, MS Excel skills required
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and P&L reporting
  • Previous experience of working at a Senior Finance or Management Accountant level
  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA/ICAEW, CFA, or similar qualifications beneficial
  • Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Undertake a high volume of Financial Planning and Analysis to effectively support to FP&A Manager & Finance Director
  • Analyse sales performance data inclusive of revenue, margins, trends and variances
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities and inform relevant departments for better decision-making
  • Complete P&L analysis and investigate key variances against previous budget and forecasts
  • Conduct ROI analysis on varied commercial business activities including investments, campaigns and projects
  • Prepare clear financial reports and provide meaningful insights to senior level stakeholders
  • Work closely with commercial and sales teams to support financially informed decision making
