Warehouse Operative

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and growing specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable warehouse professional to join a supportive working environment where accuracy, safety and efficiency are highly valued. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, checked, packed and despatched correctly and on time.

An excellent remuneration package is on offer including a salary of c£26,000 per annum, plus b-annual bonus, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, and the opportunity to develop your career within a growing organisation.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or despatch environment
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to picking, packing and order accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work to despatch deadlines
  • Confident following warehouse processes and instructions while maintaining high standards of accuracy
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders, ensuring the correct products, quantities and specifications are selected
  • Pack, label and consolidate completed orders ready for collection or delivery, ensuring goods are suitably protected during transportation
  • Complete final checks on orders, documentation and packaging before despatch and report any discrepancies, shortages or damaged goods
  • Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles and liaise with drivers, hauliers and colleagues to ensure collections are completed efficiently
  • Store products safely within designated warehouse areas and support stock counts, inventory checks and general stock control activities
