Express Recruitment is proud to be supporting a growing construction consultancy in their search for a proactive Junior Project Manager to support sustainable construction and retrofit projects, focusing on social housing and RICS surveys.

Working under the Lead Project Manager, you’ll help coordinate projects, manage timelines, and ensure compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing sustainable construction and retrofit projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations and communication
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
• Identify potential project risks and escalate issues to the Lead Project Manager for resolution
• Assist in managing appointment logistics by leveraging knowledge of UK geography and postcode areas to optimise scheduling

Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years’ experience in project management, construction, or related fields
• Basic understanding of sustainable construction practices and green building principles
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) are advantageous
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello) and Microsoft Office
