Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly respected organisation within the group travel sector in their search for a Transport Procurement Coordinator to join their busy and friendly team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, with strong potential for extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience booking group transport who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role will suit someone organised, commercially minded and confident liaising with suppliers, particularly during peak travel periods.

The role is to start ASAP, with an ideal end of February start date to allow for a comprehensive handover.

In return, you can expect a salary of up to c£29,000 plus 5 % annual bonus, excellent benefits, flexible hybrid working and the chance to build valuable experience within a growing organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Source, price and book transport including coaches, ferries, Eurostar/Eurotunnel and flights
• Liaise with transport providers to check availability, obtain quotes and negotiate within budgets
• Compare quotes against existing suppliers to ensure best commercial value
• Ensure transport bookings align accurately with itineraries
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with transport suppliers
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve transport-related queries or changes
• Maintain up-to-date supplier records, including health & safety documentation

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience booking transport or travel, ideally within group travel, tourism or airline sectors
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Commercially aware and confident working with budgets
• Comfortable managing multiple bookings and tight deadlines
• A proactive, team-focused approach with the ability to work independently
