Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a unique charitable organisation who are passionate about supporting survivors of abuse. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Crisis Support Worker on a full-time basis, providing direct first line assistance to victims, working shifts across Monday-Sunday, between the hours of 9:00am-9:00pm (inclusive of 7.5 hour days). 

 Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about making a difference to people’s lives. You will need to hold a current Enhanced DBS Check or be happy to process one if you are successful.

 Roles & Responsibilities 

• Act as the first point of contact for victims, clinicians, and emergency services 
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to provide highly confidential information   

• Attend emergency hospital appointments with survivors of abuse  

• Handle telephone and email enquiries when required 

• Handle urgent on-call and sleep in requests during emergencies, when required   

 Skills & Experience  

• Previous experience of working with vulnerable young people  
• Passionate about supporting young people, calm and caring approach during sensitive situations 

• Demonstratable ability of working with individuals who have experienced abuse previously  

• Happy to attend hospitals on a lone basis with service users  

• Available to work shifts between Monday-Sunday, and be available for pre-scheduled on-call shifts 

• Must be willing to have a new Enhanced DBS Check processed if successful
