Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit Graduate Mechanical Engineer Consultants to join their specialist team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates (or those nearing completion of their degree) who are keen to build a long-term career within the oil and gas / energy sector, working on technically complex and highly varied engineering projects. The role will be tailored to individual strengths and interests, with full support and development provided to promote long-term success.

The starting salary is £29k, rising to £32k upon successful completion of probation period.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering analysis including stress analysis and finite element analysis
• Support delivery of pipeline crossing assessments and quantitative risk assessments
• Assist with fatigue, fracture and defect assessments
• Produce clear and accurate technical report
• Support project delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics (2:1 or above)
• Strong interest in the oil and gas / energy sector
• Knowledge of engineering software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS or CAESAR II advantageous
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills with a positive, team-focused attitude
