Express Recruitment are excited to be working with a well-respected local authority, who are seeking support in their search for a reliable and experienced 1st Line IT Support Technician.

Our client is looking for a proactive individual to join their IT team, providing exceptional support to end users. As the first point of contact for IT-related issues, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations for the organisation.

Please note, during the training for this role it will be 9:00am-5:00pm, however following on from this, the shifts will be between 7:00am-3:00pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, or 10:00am-6:00pm.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide general 1st Line IT support to all users, responding to both calls and walk-ins
• Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues
• Troubleshoot common IT issues such as Outlook, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity, and expired passwords
• Log onto servers to verify system functionality and address any concerns
• Re-sync mobile devices and address related technical issues
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate higher-level support teams when necessary

Skills & Experience

• Confident user of Microsoft Stat and Microsoft Office applications
• Previous experience in a 1st Line IT Support role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving IT issues
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Vacancy Summary 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm to start, will be rotated into shifts which will be 7:00am – 3:00pm, 8:00am – 4:00pm, 10:00am – 6:00pm following training

Salary: c£14.00 per hour D.O.E

Location: Wollaton, Nottingham

Job Type: Temporary for approx. 8-12 weeks, potential to extend
