Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a global construction consultancy who are currently seeking to recruit a knowledgeable Surveyor. You will support a project on behalf of a reputable university based in the heart of Greenwich.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who holds excellent attention to detail and is looking to build on their existing Building Surveying experience. In return you will be given the opportunity to work for a reputable global construction firm.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Undertake stock condition and component lifecycle surveys across the housing portfolio
• Accurately record findings using mobile surveying systems
• Assess the condition, age and remaining life of building components to inform planned maintenance
• Inform capital programmes and asset management strategies
• Produce detailed survey reports, schedules of works and cost estimates
• Support investment planning and compliance programmes
• Identify defects, health and safety risks and non-compliance issues
• Recommend remedial actions in line with current housing standards and legislation
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors and residents to arrange access and explain findings

Skills & Experience

• Good attention to detail to ensure accurate tagging
• Ability to avoid errors in registers
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to conduct surveys across multiple buildings efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with other departmental teams
• Good problem solver capable of handling unexpected access issues
• Ability to identify untagged or missing assets
• Knowledge of Health and Safety while working around plant rooms and electrical equipment
• Awareness of hazardous areas
