Our Charities

Despite recruitment being at the heart of what we do, we are a team of passionate individuals who take great pride in dedicating our time, resources and direct fundraising efforts to a number of important charities, both locally and beyond.

How We Work with Charities

At Express Recruitment, supporting good causes is part of who we are. We regularly take part in charity events throughout the year, including recognised campaigns such as Wear a Football Shirt Day and Wear It Pink. These occasions allow our team to come together, raise awareness and contribute to the organisations we care about. Over the years, our Directors have personally travelled overseas to support rescue efforts and provide care for vulnerable animals. Elcee’s Rescue

We are proud to work closely with Elcee’s Rescue, a small, volunteer run dog rescue based in the UK. Founded in 2024 by two friends with more than 40 years of combined experience in dog rescue, Elcee’s shares our values and commitment to giving every dog the best possible second chance.

Elcee’s believes that every dog deserves a life free from fear, where they are kept warm, well fed and properly cared for. They do everything possible to ensure each dog is placed in a home that suits their individual temperament and needs, helping them to live a full and active life.

All dogs are first placed in foster homes, where they are assessed in a calm and supportive setting. This allows the team to understand each dog’s personality and match them to the most suitable permanent home. Elcee’s is a non-profit organisation, and every penny raised goes directly towards food, vet bills and care. The rescue is entirely volunteer led, with all time and effort donated freely. Supporters contribute by making monthly donations, organising small fundraising events or helping to promote the rescue’s work.

Tara’s Angels

We are proud to support Tara’s Angels, a local charity making a real difference to the lives of women and children affected by domestic abuse across Nottinghamshire.

Tara’s Angels works directly with local refuges to provide practical and emotional support to survivors, many of whom arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. The charity supplies essential items such as clothing, toiletries, baby products and school supplies, helping families to rebuild their lives with dignity and care.

Tara’s Angels also offers personalised support to individuals and families as they transition out of emergency accommodation and begin to re-establish themselves in the community. Whether it is furnishing a new home or providing comfort packs for children, they are there every step of the way.

The charity is entirely volunteer led and relies on donations from the public, local businesses and fundraising events to continue it’s vital work.

Base 51

Base 51 is a Nottingham based charity we are proud to support. Since 1993, Base 51 has helped young people aged 11 to 25 across the city and surrounding areas by providing safe spaces, counselling and essential support.

Many of the young people who access Base 51’s services are facing complex challenges, including mental health issues, unstable housing, family breakdown or the effects of trauma. The charity provides one to one counselling, drop in sessions and tailored group activities that help build confidence, life skills and resilience.

Alongside mental health support, Base 51 offers practical help, including free meals, showers and laundry facilities, ensuring no young person is left to struggle alone. Their youth centre is a welcoming space where individuals can feel safe, express themselves freely and start building a brighter future.

The work of Base 51 is made possible by donations, local partnerships and the commitment of its experienced team, who support thousands of young people every year.
