Express Recruitment are proud to be working with one of Nottingham’s most reputable maintenance contractors who are leading specialists in their niche field. Due to a period of rapid growth our client is seeking the addition of a Trainee Lightning Protection Fitter to join their talented team!

If you have a background in Construction or Electrics as a Fitters mate and want to explore a different sector, then this may be the job for you!

The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of up to c£28,000 alongside the opportunity to be put through an NVQ Level 2 in Skilled Fitting. Due to the nature of this position candidates must be comfortable with working away on a weekly basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Installation, inspection, testing and repairs of a wide variety of lightning protection equipment
• Assist with specialist testing of all equipment
• Plan the installation of various equipment around difficult to access areas
• Ensure that sites are fully compliant with H&S standards
• Work closely with the site supervisor to ensure site inspections are carried out correctly for all earthing and lightning equipment

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electricians or Fitters mate highly desirable
• 2391 Inspection & Testing or Electrical based qualification desirable
• Full UK Drivers License essential
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
