Due to consistent organic growth and plans for further growth throughout 2025 following the announcement of multiple exclusive contracts, our client is seeking the addition of a Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their talented team of Service Engineers.  

Our client is ideally seeking individuals with previous fire alarm servicing experience (security system installation and servicing experience a bonus, but not essential as full training provided).  

The contracted working hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.  

In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £30,000, plus a lucrative commission scheme with the average Engineer in their team earning an overall OTE of at least £40k per annum. Other benefits include 32 days holiday including bank holidays with the ability to ecru additional days, regular overtime paid at enhanced rates, pension scheme, company van, PPE and uniform provided, fuel card plus lots of opportunities to upskill through various training courses and progress through the business into Senior Engineer positions.  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend client sites through the Midlands and wider UK (when required) to perform installations, repair, servicing, and inspections across a wide range of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV systems and access control systems 
• Attend day training courses to upskill knowledge of other life safety equipment  
• Produce detailed service reports upon completion of works  
• Respond to emergency breakdowns  
• Work closely with subcontractors and third-party suppliers on occasions  
• Replace obsolete fire and security safety systems  
• Order new parts and equipment  
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings  

Qualifications & Experience

• Formal qualification in Fire Alarm System Installations desirable but not essential  
• Confident knowledge of BS5839 Part 1  
• Eligible to pass a CRB check essential  
• Full UK driving license essential 
• FIA related industry qualifications preferred  
• Confident troubleshooting experience with security alarm and access control systems  
• Confident IT skills, with ability to complete online work sheets and service reports  
• Ability to work under pressure to meet KPI targets
