Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an established, market-leading waste management business, who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to their join their established and growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding new and existing corporate clients through the total waste management process and provide the best solutions. The business receive a high number of incoming enquiries and new business, so no lead generation or winning cold business is required.

A background in total waste management in required, with proven experience dealing with stakeholders nationally at board level, handling deals of high value.

Alongside a starting salary of up to £50k, there a fantastic commission structure offering an additional £25k, an £8k car allowance and an excellent holiday allowance alongside the freedom to really make the role your own. The role is fully remote with travel required around central UK, the ideal candidate being located in the Midlands.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Effectively handle and pursue inbound sales enquiries, developing and managing a robust pipeline of potential new clients, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting strategy as needed
  • Create and deliver consultative sales proposals to prospects, focusing on adding value for clients
  • Research target markets, pursue leads, and understand industry dynamics to attract clients effectively, keeping updated on industry developments and competitors
  • Participate in targeted sales campaigns, project-driven market research, and networking events
  • Provide marketing team with positive activity information to showcase our client as an innovative business partner

Skills & Experience

  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders in a corporate environment within total waste management
  • Solutions led sales approach, ideally having previously created and presented sales proposals
  • Experience effectively managing and developing a sales pipeline
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
