Express Recruitment is proudly working alongside a leading SME based in Nottingham who are specialist manufacturers within the print and packaging industry.  

Due to continue growth our client is seeking a Extrusion Machine Technician to join their talented workshop team. Once fully trained the role will require working both days & nights (6am-6pm/6pm-6am) on a rotating basis 4 on 4 off. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensuring jobs are run as efficiently and accurate as possible to minimise scrap and production waste 
• Reporting defects on extrusion machinery to minimise production downtime 
• Liaise with the Shift Manager to assist with machinery breakdowns when necessary  
• Assisting with the Conversion department when required to keep production levels high 
• Maintain accurate stock levels, adhesive tapes, and any other requirements 

 Skills & Requirements

• Experience with blown film extrusion essential  
• Previous experience working in flexible packaging production environment desirable  
• Flexibility with carrying out different roles and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis 
• Excellent time management and organisational skills 
• Identify continuous improvement activities to help improve production flow
