Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of Nottingham’s leading building services businesses in their search for a Mechanical Contracts Supervisor, with a particular focus on Commercial Gas Engineering.

The ideal candidate will be no stranger to working with mechanical systems and will have a background in gas engineering and facilities maintenance. Predominantly work will be Midlands based, but with some nationwide travel when required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out effective delivery of PPM reactive maintenance 
• Perform troubleshooting and finding faults with current systems 
• Monitor and manage the performance of engineers and subcontractors 
• Allocate resources to meet client needs for reactive works  
• Complete snagging lists and produce detailed fault and evaluation reports  
• Advise on most suitable and cost-effective upgrades where possible  
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations at all times  
• Manage budgets for maintenance projects 

 Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working with Building services, including electrical and mechanical systems 
• Apprentice trained or HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline  
• Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer highly advantageous  
• Demonstrable experience within previous maintenance role  
• Effective communicator on all senior levels  
• Formal trade qualification ideal but not essential  
• Full UK Driving License essential
