Express Recruitment is excited to be working alongside one of the UK’s largest major civil and infrastructure engineering firms who due to fantastic growth are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor.  The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£55,000 per annum D.O.E alongside fantastic internal progression opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with external and internal teams to ensure criteria are met in line with environmental policies 
• Plan and implement continuous improvement methods 
• Process subcontractor liabilities and applications for payment  
• Attend and lead on site meetings and lead site surveys and inspections 
• Carry out site measurements, pricing, and valuation duties  
• Provide detailed cost estimates for a range of local and UK wide projects 
• Prepare detailed contracts and tenders including bill of quantities 
• Manage budget requirements and be heavily involved in the cost management process  

Skills & Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent 
• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the civil engineering sector  
• Solid understanding of cost management systems 
• Previous experience with cost contracts ideal 
• Full, clean UK driving licence
