Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of Nottingham’s leading building services businesses in their search for a Maintenance Engineer, with a particular focus on security systems for commercial buildings.   

The ideal candidate will be no stranger to working with security systems and will have a background in building and facilities maintenance. The role is East Midlands based so no overnight stays are required!

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance on security systems including alarms, CCTV and access controls 
• Perform troubleshooting and finding faults with current systems 
• Test and inspect existing systems 
• Install new systems and upgrades to existing systems  
• Complete snagging lists and produce detailed fault and evaluation reports  
• Advise on most suitable and cost-effective upgrades where possible  
• Adhere to health and safety protocol at all times  
• Respond to emergency call outs when required  

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working with security systems including alarms, CCTV and access controls  
• Demonstrable experience within previous maintenance role  
• Effective communicator  
• Formal trade qualification ideal but not essential  
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
