Express Recruitment are very excited to be working with our existing client who are a market leader within the aerospace sector. Due to success and growth within the industry, they are expanding and building their sales team and require a business development representative join their team.  

The successful candidate will take responsibility for generating opportunities with new and existing clients, with experience managing the full sales cycle from new business into renewals.  

This opportunity allows someone to join a multi-national organisation and build a long term and rewarding career within one of the UK’s biggest employers in the sector. The role also allows for hybrid working, with up to 2 days per week at home.  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Renew existing business: Maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their evolving needs, and negotiate contract renewals to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty
• Manage key client relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and fostering mutual success through tailored solutions and support
• Follow up leads and enquiries: Actively pursue and nurture leads to convert them into business opportunities through timely communication and effective follow-up strategies 
• New business: Initiate and cultivate relationships with potential clients through persuasive cold calling techniques, emphasising the value of our offerings
• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution, facilitating the delivery of exceptional value to clients
• Contract negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients to finalise agreements, ensuring favourable terms while mitigating risks and safeguarding organisational interests

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a sales, account management or new business role essential  
• Experience of influencing stakeholders to influence upward account spend  
• New business experience ability to evidence key achievements 
• Experience working within Engineering,Aerospace or industrial recruitment
