Express Recruitment are delighted to partnering up with one of the East Midland’s fastest growing Managed Service Providers. Due to a possible management buyout in the near future, they now require the addition of a Senior 3^rd Line Project Engineer with demonstrable experience across a plethora of technical projects, from network migrations to cloud infrastructure upgrades.

This is an exciting opportunity with there being potential scope for the successful candidate to eventually become an actual manager and further develop the position into their own.

Our client is offering a generous salary of up to c£55,000 D.O.E.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Closely support their clients with a plethora of technical projects, varying from network migrations to cloud infrastructure upgrades
• Liaise closely with clients to understand stringent technical requirements and be able to scope and pre plan project accordingly
• Prepare policies and procedures for clients, relating to CyberEssentials compliance
• Oversee the maintenance, deployment and migration of Microsoft 365 suite of cloud services as well as Hyper-V/VMWare infrastructures
• Lead the evaluation and deployment of new technologies and collaborate with 3^rd party MSP suppliers to assist with the execution of high-level projects
• Stay alert to ongoing issues and vulnerabilities occurring on customer sites to ensure potential escalated risks are mitigated early
• Report directly to IT Manager/Project Manager and put forward proposals on how to improve processes and current operating systems
• Act as main escalation point for 1^st and 2^nd line support teams when triaging technical issues

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science or a similar subject
• Experience in IT project support, including writing project plans, procedures, and policies
• MCSE/MCITP qualifications highly desirable
• Microsoft 365/Azure Fundamentals certifications highly desirable
• Demonstrable 3^rd line IT support experience
• Proven work history in an MSP/MSSP environment beneficial
• Proven stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft technologies – Exchange 2019, Windows 10/11, MS Office 2019, MS 365, and VMWare
• Full UK Driving Licence

Please note, this role will require the successful candidate to commute to client sites on a regular basis to provide on-hand project support and evaluation when required.
