Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a successful charity who are passionate for supporting people who have experience domestic abuse. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Safe House Accommodation Advisor to join their team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide support with risk assessments, safety planning, and guiding individuals through the criminal justice system
• Advocate for survivors’ needs and promote best practice in service delivery
• Facilitate safe accommodation support for survivors by working closely with Local Authority Housing Teams and other relevant partners
• Support community consultations to improve understanding of domestic abuse and housing requirements including the potential provision of training
• Raise awareness about domestic abuse services for men and LGBTQ+ individuals through events, distributing resources, and conducting training sessions

Skills & Experience

• Experience working in housing, homelessness or social care, preferably with survivors with domestic abuse
• Knowledge of social housing essential
• Relevant domestic violence training or qualification preferred
• Ability to communicate with people of all levels
• Strong understanding of confidentiality
