To exciting growth plans lined up for 2024, our client is seeking a self-driven, money-motivated individual with a passion for sales and demonstrable experience in the machine tool sector.  

The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary between £30,000 – £45,000 depending on experience, including commission payouts for hitting/exceeding sales targets.  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Travel across the UK and Ireland to meet with prospective clients to build rapport and maximise on sales opportunities  
• Take necessary steps to maintain/increase technical knowledge of woodworking machinery and associated machine tools  
• Schedule regular meetings with current clients to maintain business relationships and maximise on upselling opportunities  
• Provide detailed quotes and negotiate contract terms that are beneficial for all parties  
• Meet quarterly targets set by the company  
• Liaise frequently with the Director and wider commercial/sales teams to realign sales targets and set new objectives  

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience working as a machine tool sales professional  
• First class communication and people skills 
• Confident negotiation and upselling skills  
• Ability to demonstrate a proficient level of technical knowledge regarding woodworking machinery  
• Ability to overcome objections and think creatively  
• Capable of managing time effectively to maximise on each sales opportunity 
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
