Celebrating 34 Years With 34 Of Our Favourite Things!

This week, we’re celebrating 34 years of providing our exceptional recruitment services to businesses and candidates in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and across the East Midlands. After 2020 quickly came and went, we wanted to do something a little special to celebrate our 34th Birthday.

As we pride ourselves in being a team of passionate people, this led us to bring you our 34 favourite things about Express Recruitment. So, without further adieu, here’s our 34 reasons celebrating Express Recruitment.

1. Working in town is easy, our prime location makes us accessible for all

Our central location, in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, ensures that our office is easily accessible for everybody who may cross our path, whether that’s a client, candidate or employee.

2. We value our people, enabling us to value each and every client

Our people are at the heart of what we do, which is why we make sure we find ways to develop, grow and truly thank them for all of their hard work. From offering various different qualification programmes, to having a clear structure and career path, progression with Express Recruitment is easy.

We have found that if you value your people, they value everybody they work with to, ensuring that our clients and candidates feel the personal touch too.

3. We have our own voice, all of our new ideas are heard

We are constantly open to change and smoothening processes to ensure that our clients and candidates recieve the best service when they are looking to hire, or find a new opportunity with us.

We can’t think of anybody better to help us tailor our services than the people who we work with every day, which is why we regularly hold team meetings, where people can bring their thoughts and new ideas to the table.

5. We lead from the front, having an inspiring, yet humble, female entrepreneur for a Managing Director makes it so much more relatable

Express Recruitment was founded in 1987 by Lesley Beauchamp, and her passion, dreams and approachable manner fills our team with hope that anything is possible, with hard work, dedication and the passion for service.

6. We give fresh graduates a chance, which gives us passion to serve other graduates who are looking for a role

We understand how difficult it can be to find a job as a fresh graduate, which is we’re here to give a helping hand. Whether we’re looking to expand our team, or our clients are looking for a fresh graduate, we not only help them find a position within the professional market where they can apply their skills, but our Recruitment Consultants give them a helping hand when going through the interviewing process as they understand what a daunting place it can be.

7. Dogs in the office

We pride ourselves in being a dog-friendly office, with our Chief Employee Relations Doggo, Winnie, and Head of Barketing, Pierre, coming in everyday.

This allows our Senior Management team to stay as long as it takes to deliver, without the guilt, and makes for a healthier work-life balance.

It’s no secret that we’re dog lovers… in fact, we our Directors, Lesley Beauchamp, and Rick Beauchamp, set up the Lanzarote Dog Rescue UK in aid to support SARA Protectora in Lanzarote, to improve the quality of lives of rescue dogs and find forever homes for these four-legged friends in the UK. We often find ourselves building the confidence and socialisation of these dogs by bringing them into the office, enabling them meet the wide variety of people we have within the team. 8. The ‘Friday Night Unwind’, with a wine

Being more than just a team is important to us, which is why we have a ‘Friday Night Unwind’ where we can all gather as a team, and enjoy all of the local delights that Nottingham has to offer, with a wine (or a beer!) These Fridays allow our team to prepare for the weekend and feel refreshed for a new week.

9. Our close-knit community culture

There is some truth in the fact that there is no ‘I’ in ‘Team’. The community and family-like culture that we have embodied means that we all pull together to get it right for both our clients and candidates the first time. This was one of the many reasons we won ‘Family Business of the year‘ with Nottinghamshire Live Business Awards in 2019.

34. The Express Family

Without Lesley Beauchamp, setting the foundations for the family culture, we don’t believe that we would be where we are now. The Express Family have made us achieve everything we have, and without the team, we wouldn’t be able to provide the fantastic service that we have provided the East Midlands with for the last 34 years.
