CNC Operator

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a successful and growing manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Operator to join their expanding production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional to join a forward-thinking organisation that has recently invested in new machinery and is continuing to expand its manufacturing capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting CNC routing and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components to specification.

The role would suit a technically minded individual with previous CNC experience who takes pride in producing accurate work, enjoys working as part of a team, and is keen to develop their skills within a modern production environment.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC routing, cutting, drilling or similar machining processes
  • Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and production documentation
  • Experience using FANUC-controlled machinery, including the ability to make basic programme or control adjustments
  • Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, offsets and calibration equipment
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC routing and cutting machinery to manufacture components from a range of materials
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, production instructions and manufacturing specifications
  • Load and unload materials safely, ensuring components are positioned correctly and ready for machining
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and machine settings, making adjustments where required to maintain production quality
  • Monitor machinery throughout production runs and make necessary changes to optimise performance and output
